How to read
When you look into the eyepiece, you'll see a scale such like the picture.
When measuring the battery acid, read the scale on the left ( The one in the red box in the picture) . When measuring the automobile antifreeze, read the scale on the right.(The one in the yellow box in the picture)
The Scale
The two main functions
- Function 1: Measuring freezing point of automobile antifreeze based on ethylene glycol or propylene glycol. Scale Range: ethylene glycol based: 32 to -84 degree F, propylene glycol based:32 to -60 degree F.
- Function 2: Measuring specific gravity of battery acid and provide a quick reference of battery charge condition. Scale Range:1.100~1.400kg/l for Battery fluid.
- The unit of the scale is Fahrenheit (°F), which is very convenient.
- The scale range is suitable for most of the automobile antifreeze on the market.

Is it complex to use a refractometer?
